Umm… Yeah, it’s been a while…
Good golly! It really has been a tremendous span of time since my last post, here at G33K-ing Out (a whopping eleven months!), though that certainly does not mean I’ve done any less geeking since then!
In the last year, I’ve been MAJORLY busy with school and other academics-related business, but I’ve also accomplished quite a bit in the field of topics I address here.
DBZ Transformation Guide is now at v2.0.3 and has been completed from a content standpoint, though every once in a while, I get back in there to update existing images, add new ones, and soon to add new features. I’ll definitely be getting a whole heck of a lot finished over the coming summer (which, btw, is in 1.5 weeks :D).
My second app, which I actually have no idea if I ever featured it here on G33K-ing Out, Dragon Ball: Movie Guide, is sitting at v1.4 and is also completed (for now) from a content standpoint. More features are set to come to this app as well over the summer.
I’ll go into more detail on the current state of the apps in future posts to the tumblr.
Well, I suppose that’s all for now, though you can expect much more frequent posts from this point out!
As always, please spread the word of this Tumblr to anyone whom you think might enjoy it.
Until next time!
v1.5 Completed! New Character Set + Updated Photos
Hooray! I’ve finally completed version 1.5 of my Dragon Ball Z: Transformation Guide app.
- New Character Set: FUSIONS
— includes the Namekian Fusions (Piccolo + Nail, and later + Kami), Gotenks, Vegetto, and the Gogeta’s (SS, Movie 12 and SS4, GT)
- Updated Images on existing Character Sets
— Saiyan Character Set
For a while now, I’d been meaning to sit down and switch out some old low res, non-Dragon Box screenshots for higher res, Dragon Box images in the older character sets, and now I have :D
I’m gonna go ahead and submit the update to Windows Phone Marketplace now, and it should be available for download in the next four or five days!
Head past the break for screenshots galore!
DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi “HD Collection” Coming?
Back in March, Walmart.com had a listing for an unannounced DBZ game. Tentatively titled, “Dragon Ball Z HD” the game was given an October release date on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems. This didn’t seem all that out of the ordinary, since every year we get new DBZ games on the current consoles, so this could’ve been simply an early entry for the next “Ultimate Tenkaichi” game.
What made this interesting was when, in April, “Dragon Ball Z for Kinect” was announced. As this announcement was made, the Walmart listing for the Xbox 360 version of “Dragon Ball Z HD” was removed, while the PS3 counterpart remained. This clearly doens’t make sense, since Kinect is Xbox 360, and no mention of DBZ on Playstation’s Move has been made. Obviously, something was going on.
Which brings us to this past week! Spanish retailer XtraLife.es has posted listings for a “Dragon Ball Z HD Collection” for both PS3 and Xbox 360. This single added word on its own means a whole lot to fans of the older (past 8 years) games for the series, who’ve been clamoring for a re-release of the Budokai series as well as the Tenkaichi series. To top it all off, XtraLife.es has posted an (again, tentative) coverart placeholder, as well as even MORE information in the form of an extended title. And it looks a little something like this:
Transform Guide v1.4 Certified!
Transform Guide Update, YouTube Video
Hello everyone! My name is dbG33K.
First off, let me tell you more about myself. I am a college student, just finishing up my Freshman year and I’m majoring in Psychology. I’m an avid comic book fan, and I enjoy making YouTube videos and attempting to code apps for Windows Phone.
As a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z, most of my YouTube videos are about DBZ in some way or another. I have unboxings/ first looks of both local and imported items, as well as commercials and theme songs.
I also create videos showing off Windows Phone in the form of reviews, comparisons, etc. I’ve always been a huge fan of Windows Phone since before it had even come out. My first Windows Phone was an HTC HD7, and have recently upgraded to the Radar 4G.
As I mentioned above, I’ve recently begun trying my hand at App Development on the Windows Phone platform. I’m currently working on a Dragon Ball Z Transformation Guide. It includes lots of pictures and expansive information of each transformation. It’s not finished yet, but version 188.8.131.52 is now available on the Windows Phone Marketplace. I make updates whenever I can including new/updated pictures, new characters, and occassionally new features, such as tap-to-zoom on images.
Anyway, that’s about it, as far as who I am and what I’m into and what I will make posts about. Updates on new YouTube videos, progression of my app, etc.
Also, be sure to subscribe here, and to TheDbG33K on YouTube, and for all of you Windows Phone users/ DBZ fans, make certain you download Dragon Ball Z: Transformation Guide off the Marketplace!
Be posting more soon!
